What are Guardians? - The Guardians is a special pack of wolves born with powers. They even formed their own language, often hiding their most useful secrets from those who oppose them. They are mostly hidden from other packs, as only a few nearby packs know their existence, including Winston's father, who kept their presence a secret. After they were murdered by Sam's pack, they faded into legend, becoming more of a myth to most packs. Those that knew them, described them as a very friendly pack, who was always open to help those in need.

Even though he was born in a Guardian pack, Humphrey has little to no knowledge of his pack and what they were called. All he remembered was the good memories he had with his pack, to the day he lost them to Sam's pack, and how he was told he was going to become a great wolf one day, one that will change the world forever. When Humphrey discovered his Guardian powers, he was both scared and curious about them, as he tried to learn to control them. This drove him to discover his pack's secrets, finally discovering his place in the world and becoming a strong mate for Kate.

Below are the type of Guardian wolves that lived in Humphrey's pack

Fire Guardians - These Guardians are by far the most lethal, as they control fire and can kill wolves easily. They're usually taught to protect. Unlike most of the Guardians, these wolves are easily corrupted, as they give in to their anger most of the time.
Warrior Guardians - These Guardians serve as the protectors and soldiers for the pack. They usually have super speed or super strength. On rare occasions, they would allow other Guardians to join their ranks, such as the Earth Guardians.
Healers - The most useful Guardian in the pack, is the Healer. They usually consists of those who can heal, and those who can control water. Humphrey's mother, Sarah, is a Healer, but she was known to be a Telepathic as well. Humphrey's best friend, Kiara (Diamond), was also in training to be a Healer herself, but she also had traits for a Warrior.
Royal Guardians - The most rarest of all the Guardians. They usually have multiple powers, and are often the most targeted. Humphrey is the most recent example, coming from a strong bloodline that spanned generations. Humphrey's father Peter and his little brother Ash, would be Royal Guardians, with Ash having the rare time travel power.
Normal Wolves - Not every wolf was born with powers, for those who are the unlucky ones, they still helped their pack as best they can, often aiding in the defense of the pack. Everyone has to do their part or things will fall (Such as the attack from Sam)

The birth of Humphrey and Ash - The moment Sarah gave birth to both Humphrey and Ash, Peter and Sarah were beyond happy, as they marked this the defining moment of their pack. Both of them had potential of changing the world, but one of them was destined to be the strongest Guardian to date, even more powerful than Sam.

Sam - He was a natural enemy from the start, often harrassing Peter. Sometime during one of his visits, Sam managed to find one of their special plants that grants whoever eats it a power of their own, granting the power of hypnosis and giving birth to the monster we all know. He also saw what would happen if he killed all the Omegas, but also saw his death at the paws of the Guardians. He wanted his dream world so badly, he was willing to kill everyone to achieve it. After he destroyed all the Guardians, he was beyond pissed when he discovered Humphrey survived, driving him to hunt him down and finish what he started

Return of the Guardians - One of the most famous legends from the Guardians is their fated fall and return. Legend predicted their death at the paws of Sam, but also predicted their return, when a true Guardian rises up and stands up to the Dark One (Sam).

Surviving Guardians - Not all Guardians were killed, as some went into hiding. Humphrey would be reunited with his brother, Ash, and even his best friend, Kiara, who were among the lucky Guardians to survive.
