Ears are certainly one of the most overlooked part of the human features I think. I actually became quite conscience on how I draw/paint ears many years back when I started CGing. Drawing ears are equally addicting as drawing eyes. Probably it's just me.
I insist on tossing in some elf ears because they are attractive.

For real, I didn't think pointed eras would be so hard to draw until I actually tried my hand at them. Needless to say I was looking for tutorials shortly thereafter

Hey, umm... I have a character that has elf earsΒ annnnd I'd like her to wear headphones. I can give her shorter ears, but I'd like her to have the kind that kinda stick out like... the second one down from the top right. No! It's not just you! I get so obsessed with drawing ears and eyes because.... well... I just do!
I think it's because one: Eyes express the MOST emotion and...
two: Ears are the most looked-for for identifying a certain fantasy creature (ex: Elves vs. Humans)
