This is amazing work. I totally love the perspective (and is somewhat jealous) Even a little scruffed up he looks hansome. Makes me want to hug him. His position and the flowers in the backround just make it beautiful.

Itβs been a while but better late than never I suppose. I really enjoy this piece! I love how the picture doesn't come off as flat despite the use of only black and white. I've tried doing strictly black and white pieces but they make my soul hurt xD. In addition I've looked up the Hush Sound because of this and I do enjoy them : D huzzah for discovery! Great work.

aah i never got to comment on this yet! it's really so far my favorite piece by you, it shows obvious improvement, which is hard to achieve when you get to a certain skill level, i'm glad you're still trying to improve! no one should ever stop, even if they're already awesome

Dude, the lineart on this is seriously gorgeous - I like that it's subtle but so precise, especially on the hands and the folds in the jeans. I also love the foreshortening of his right leg and left arm, and I like that the strict black and white scheme reinforces his mood and the apparent situation. And on a little side note, I love the way those flowers work the composition in terms of negative space around the figure; that part of the image particularly seriously has such an intriguing flow.

This is so lovely, such emotion captured in such a simple way - I love it. I just absolutely love the starkness of the black and white (I always have loved black and white pieces), I think it sets the whole thing off wonderfully. I like how you chose to block in the background as black rather than just leaving it as a black outline. I cannot stop staring at those trainers, the detail in the laces and the stitching... wow, how on EARTH did you do that... the shape is just implied by the white detail. I like Ferris' expression, he looks so downtrodden, and those hands are wonderful. It's such a natural pose, I adore it. The magnolias in the background are very pretty too, I like how you drew them so accurately. And you have good taste in music as well

I love black and white finished works, and this one is just amazing. It has so much atmosphere and feeling and the way the character and the flowers stand out in the black give a sense of isolation and maybe despair or defeat.

man i love those shoes. i'll be honest. i pretty much just stared at them for five minutes thinking "DAMN. THE SHOES" uu *no life*. i love that whole invisible line aspect what with the background being blacked out. very nicely carried out. he looks so sad : /.

The contrast is interesting. It almost like the black...impurity, I feel...is crushing the white, chastity. I feel like the character is holding things in, and is really bursting to let out his emotions. On your website, Ferris's profile says he's got dry humour, is very stressed, and has a thick shell. And I believe it. I got that feeling when I looked at him.
He seems fascinating.
Funny how a simple picture of one's characters make you feel connected to them.
