Been really into The Strokes for some time now, especially since I recently started my vinyls collection. So far I only have Is This It, while First Impressions of Earth is on it's way, I personally have Room on Fire and Angles lower on the list, so I may or may not get them later.This drawing is formed by a series of shots from the Reptilia music video, with all five members of the band playing their own "instrument" during the song. I thought about arranging them in the order of appearance during the song, but that's not very identifiable, so I put them in the order of how the members lineup on stage instead.
Am I crazy or Julian looks a lot like Billie Joel Armstrong in this video? Anyways, now it's a must go for me to see The Strokes next time in town, hope it'll be soon.

Omr, whoa. Just whoa. This is so cool! I love how it's split into sections so clearly without any kind of dividing line, the way I'd have had to do. And I keep going back and staring at how marvelous the shading is, and the way it all looks realistic-cartoonish at once, and the intense expression on the singer's face... and marveling that it was all done in graphite. Very impressive!

Now, I see musically inspired artwork that draws artist(s) almost to perfection, to the point where it looks like a reflection of real life.
But, this picture removes the realism factor in place for your artistic influences. This can be seen in how you drew Julian, the proportions are realistic but it has a slight cartoonish appearance. The shading techniques here also show this. This is benefits you as it breaks away from the norm.
Your penciling and blending so smooth, the gradients present here are beautiful! Now, if I could only add this to my wishlist...

This is real good... it's not just a copy of a photo (which is still ok, but I'm less inclined to fav).
