I’m seeking a distraction—need to find some mental traction—
so I can run from how I feel
when your shade
falls upon my mind.
I can’t bear this confusion—
hope-despair repeated fusion—
making harder for me to heal
how your shade
darkened me inside.
You know, I think I don’t deserve this,
and I’m half-sure I don’t want this,
but I’m certain I don’t need this …
so I suppose it’s time
I end this …
I’m seeking absolution—
I’ve got only one solution—
so I can ease the guilt I feel
when my shade
leaves you far behind.
I’ll give myself permission—
make it right now my main mission—
to walk away, not run, and heal
my own shade.
You, to me … have died.
Because I think I don’t deserve this,
