Ive seen theories float around that headcanon, I'd believe it-

if we went that route, it'd explain a lot with what we know now
- drinks because of losing summer
- reason for being closer to Ruby than Taiyang seems to be
- almost similar color scheme/similar weapons(sorta, we haven't seen his weapons scythe form yet)
- Weiss realizing that Ruby's recklessness comes from Qrow

Plus the her sister abandoning them could be an extra reason for the drinking.
