For this newest Superman character model sheet, I give you the former John Corben and former kiddie-show host Oswald Loomis.

For Metallo, I desperately wanted to get away from the whole endoskeleton look that's become a cliche of sci-fi and comics ever since Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton realized that detonating an entire big-rig ain't gonna stop the Terminator driving it. I went for something that, like my Chipverse supervillain Poseidon, is part Cylon and part Maximillian from "The Black Hole", only with a touch of Boba Fett's mercenary look (underscoring Corben's own past) and a hint of military color (owing to S:TAS in which Corben first appeared in command of a Lexcorp prototype war-suit) added to the mix. I also turned his chest emitter into a sort of 'insignia' which cracks open to reveal deadly blasts of Kryptonite.

Prankster I fashioned as another combined homage, this time owing to both MAD Magazine cover boy Alfred E. Newman (who's always perpetrating some kind of subversive shenanigans on every month's issue) and Pee-Wee Herman (another iconic kiddie-show host who ended up running afoul of the law some time after his show bit the bullet).
