Description "There he lay, the yellow haired bastard. No more sneering for him. Sectumsempra!"

Harry Potter goes Sin City. Some of you might have been reminded of Harry when they saw Kevin in Sin City (well, hopefully, most of you have not seen this movie - it is brilliant, but even more 17+ than Kill Bill...). At least one ( [link] ) had the same idea:
Crossover! Harry as Kevin! :-D
The story behind it:
Harry has finally killed Voldemort (whoops, spoiler! ), became an Auror and is now finishing off the rest of the Death Eaters. But it took him three decades to hunt down his worst enemy : the Yellow Haired Bastard (at first, I wanted to call him "the greasy bastard", but the everyone would have thought, I meant Snape. Actually I am planning to draw a picture of Snape standing next to him, hand on the shoulder of his apt pupil. Hey, who would be a better person to teach Harry to be an efficient Auror? ).
Now he is standing in some narrow alley over his nemesis and ... well... shows no mercy.
And then Harry wakes up - "Phew! To much violent movies!" :-P

I am planning to add some red text (like the Sin City "logo") and probably some lines order to show the motion of the wand.
Though, it is not really true to the high-contrast Sin Cty-style I like the way it turned out.
Two preliminary versions can be seen here [link] and here [link] .

Original character concept by J.K.Rowling... who would probably kill me for this picture . As would Frank Miller...

The creators might kill you, but this Harry would then go out and slaughter them. It's a wonderful circle, really.

Harry Potter, 25+ years later... Makes me long to see a webcomic or graphic novel short of said premise!

Absolutely fantastic work, very moody, and with just enough smackings of the visual source material to be instantly recognisable to people who've watched Sin city, but not so much that it feels wholly derivative!

I take it the the victim of Harry's little spree is one of the Malfoys? Anyway this is awesome! I absolutely love the whited-out lenses! It just adds so much more to the pic.

I KNEW I knew those eyes (or lack thereof) from somewhere!

This is awesome... that's apparently my word of the night. Use it wisely.

I loved this the moment I saw it. My first thought was "Sin City Harry! Awesome!"
Fabulous idea and wonderful execution. He looks amazing here. I love that you managed to keep his tragic innocense despite the horrific ordeal he just endured. Wonderful work!

Thank you very very much!
This is really interesting - your comment kept me looking at my picture for some time, wondering if there is really tragic innocence in Harry... it is hard to decide because his all-white glasses make it difficult to make out his emotions and convey somehow the message of coolness- if not "cold"-ness - and distance. And there is still this association with Kevin...
But on the other hand his mouth is not a not as aggressive or cruel as it could be...
Hmm...

People do this very thing to me all the time. They point out something I don't see and then i've gotta sit there and try to understand where they're coming from. For me, the tragic innocense I see here has everything to do with his posture. His wand hand is alert, but not on the defense. His shoulders are hunched and his right arm limp. His face isn't expressionless. There's just a teeny bit of the little boy who lost his parents there, not enough to overpower the distance (like you said) but I do see it there.

You did more than you realized you did! And you're very welcome.

Wow, that's a good observation!
I agree with you about the posture; I think, the fact that he seems - for a lack of a better word - somehow "compact" gives this impression of inactivity. As if he is reluctant to attack...
Actually, I wanted to add some lines or blur to the wand in order to express motion... but now, I guess I leave it as it... I think it would not fit.
But maybe I should still think about additional rain...

pretty cool picture, he looks...well, he looks like he just illed someone...i like it... its got a dramatic effect to it...

one question, what did you do the background with? it first it looks like watercolor, then when you look closer it looks more like acrylic...

Hey, thanks!

Concerning the background:
Well, it is more like an accident...
On a preliminary version (see scraps section), I drew some lines and blobs in Photoshop and used gaussian blur.
Then, since I had problems with the final version, I used the preliminary one as a layer in Photoshop. In order to merge both layers I erased parts of of this layer (the result is the "fog" behind him). Then I tried to get rid of some dark spots in the background and used the smudge tool. And finally, I guess the texture of the paper I used added to the effect, too.
As you can see - a chain of "accidents". No real planning form my side

And another addendum:
The tie is a little joke from my side and a present from Mrs. Weasley... which was probably killed by the Yellow Haired Bastard...
Waah, I'm so evil
