Thanks, man. We need to talk. Putting the final touches on something today. Got a little time to spruce me up before the holidays? Just a little off the top. PM me, brother.

That is so effective. Layering objects in perfect perspective while keeping the focus in the right area is soooo hard. You nailed it. You've told a story in one panel.

Never thought of it that way, but I'll be the first to take credit for it! Thanks, Jam!

How'd the pitch go?

It looks great, I'm hoping I can get it when it comes out.

I WISH!! Thanks for your comments, Mulv. Publisher loved my stuff, license guy passed. Prognosis: Try, try again!

Whuzzah? I'm confused, so the publisher liked the content but the license guy passed? It was already a licensed property?

You got it. That's the life of the business. Still, I think all things worked out for the best!

What are you currently working on?

johjames In reply to Mulv [2009-12-14 19:09:49 +0000 UTC]

Submissions for the bigs, some possible movie work, an anthology short, and a Zuda submission. Television commercials to follow in the New Year, as usual (bread and butter). Editing a music video over the vacation and shooting a short film in March / April. Bottoms, up!

If ya don't mind me asking how you get your TV and commercial work, I'd like to know.

Sure thing. Started over a decade ago. Did the initial legwork and went door to door selling my commercial samples to every production company and sfx house in the city. Within weeks I received my first contract in tv, which led to music videos, videogames, movies, and more tv! Since then I've fielded calls at home from directors for work and haven't had to show my dusty resume in years. Hope that helps a bit. Cheers, Mulv!
