Length - 2,446km (roughly the size of 2 Albertas, Canada (N-S))

- Self regulated natural weather simulations, and daylight cycle
- Self regulated (recyclable) power source (lifespan of 11,000 years)
- Imported soil, flora, fauna, etc. Though an artificial planet, it's resources are 100% natural.
- Element absorption (water particles, natural gases, etc)

Summary:
EDEN is a colossal colony ship that serves as the last bastion for the refugees who've escaped the flood invasions. Everyone aboard are the sole remnant of their kind.
It was built to be an artificial world that would drift until a more permanent solution was found.
Sections of the ship were built separately, but simultaneously on different planets. The entire process took 40 years to complete, and the ship's sectional assemblage was later accomplished in outer space.
It required millions of hard working hands, and exemption from requiring a budget for resources.
EDEN was launched shortly after Master Chief's disappearance from Installation 05.

Crew:
EDEN's construction was originally overseen by Eve (original) until her untimely death and EDEN's official launch.
EDEN was monitored by the Admiral (Master Chief (2582)) for 20 years until his retirement.
Eve (predecessor-1) became it's formal Captain and on-board AI.
EDEN's colonial counsel consists of Captain Eve and the Admiral (representatives of the Human colony), 343 Guilty Spark (representative of the Kig Yar colony), Ahn 'Akan (representative of the Sangheili colony), Fim Fim (representative of the Unggoy colony), and Alpha (Representative of the Cyber Colony).
EDEN currently safeguards 12,000 Humans, 532 Sangheili, 82,683 Unggoy , 99,889 Cybers, 43,374 Kig-yar.

Roles:
- Admiral (retired) holds vast knowledge of Earth (and "pathways") within a cerebral implant.
- Captain Eve oversees everything in and around EDEN. Basically plays the role of God.
- The Colonial Counsel helps bring their peoples' issues/strengths to light, and helps with influencing Captain Eve's decision making.
- Each colony has their own set of duties on the ship, however, there are no status roles, making every individual aboard equal.
Though the colonies have specific duties, members can choose to attend to other colony duties if their skillset is best suited there.
The Human colony tends to livestock and farming, and distribution of produce among the other colonies. They also teach education to the children.
The Sangheili colony trains the other colonies in combat, and production/distribution of technology and weapons among the other colonies.
The Unggoy colony manages wastes, and sustentation of the various artificial environments.
The Cyber colony is in charge of running, and maintaining the ship, as well as providing protection to the other colonies.
The Kig-yar colony scouts for space scrap, and functional tech to be brought back to EDEN for use.
