Description "doctor.... am I ok?"

-----------------------------

SDJ for the club
Today's theme: Darkness Becomes You
Time: 26min

Somehow i sort of just confused the them with the idea of "the darkness within"- and at first i wasn't going to do it. but then thought it would be nice to make use of the project to do something of a face study.... then I got the bright idea of having something like demons crawling all over the brain, and to have that some how shown by backlit... so-

It's a wizard's xray wand being used to diagnose a case of serpentia!

Looks like it's in an advanced state too, poor bloke.

A belated grats on the feature I like his lips and the effects is very neat looking. I've noticed though that a lot of your speed paints tend to be a bit much on the blurry side, as if you're using a very soft brush. I think you could make a few leaps in progress if you went a bit crisper, a bit more like a tall order I know, can't fill it myself even

tall order indeed. It's definitely my biggest weakness, i'm much more a fan of building up layers and working towards a smooth gradient. But yeah- it's something I need to work on.

I tend to fall for the blending when it comes to faces myself My brother says it makes my images mismatched. I suspect the best option is to get it right the first time

It's pretty close to realistic for a quick painting. I like the green lighting coming off the wand. The bottom of his nose looks a bit flat, but over all a very cool image.

yeah- the bottom of his nose is really flat. The biggest problem with the piece is the proportions though, his eyes are too high on his head. This tends to happen quite a bit when speedpainting though.
