Description Raccoon City Police Department

From the moment myself and :superman22590: climbed through the open window I felt chills from years of playing Resident Evil and thoughts of all the horrors that filled the RCPD in Resident evil 2 flooded my mind… well not really but it this place definitely did remind me of it.

This was, hands down, the coolest location I have ever been inside. It open as a police department from 1916 and was decommissioned as a police department in the late 90’s and finally closed its doors (after serving as the location of the Police Athletic League floor hockey site) in the early 2000’s. It stands today as a monument to 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s Police work…

Enjoy!

you did an amazing job shooting this place!

also, i appreciate the background info. the last time i was here i was hoping to find some sort of clue as to when this place closed its doors for good, but as you know, it's pretty devoid of anything.

The focus of the withering walls is beautiful to me. I love the angle you captured, and you really rock at getting the best lighting.

thank you. i think it has a lot to do with shooting on a tripod @ iso 100 and a low aperture then letting the camera decide the shutter speed n im usually pretty pleased with my exposures
