Admittedly I didn't know what I wanted to draw. What you see is a girl and her bagel, preparing to...dominate the world? World market?
Anyhow, this is my first completed picture with my very own Graphire tablet! I have to say, drawing with this thing is frustrating - if I twist myself a little to the left or a little to the right, connecting two dots on the screen becomes quite the errand. This will take some getting used to.
I'm still not very good at water coloring yet - I'll have to look at some professional scans some other time. But I did have quite a bit of fun drawing the background for this one! I ought to paint more clouds.
The original idea was to have her commanding her father to launch a giant fork into the air. Scrapped the idea when I found I couldn't draw a straight line.

I find it easier to get the lines right if I draw in pencil first, scan it in, and then go over the lines with the tablet on a separate layer.

Unfortunately I have no scanner.
Fortunately I can draw with a mouse!
But I've gotten more used to my tablet now, so it's all good.

I started out with a mouse in Appleworks Paint . . . I did some pretty good stuff considering, but I never want to go back to drawing with a mouse.
