Description [UPDATED: Scanned in the original to replace the photo]

A project for our Interpretive class, where we had to make a conceptual poster for a non-profit, addressing one of three key messages of the organization. From the options I went with PEN Canada as the organization, and "freedom of expression" as the message.

It's hard to see in the photo, (hopefully I'll be able to make a scan of it once it's handed back by our teacher), but the animals at the bottom are composed of writing. The concept was the author's work fighting off the hand of oppression.

The words are from poems by Goran Simic, a Bosnian-Canadian "writer-in-exile", hosted by PEN Canada.

Great concept, Jori! Love the gesture in the animals too.

Thanks, Alan! The animal gestures was the part I was most worried about! It was really hard to draw a rhino on his hind legs, because rhinos never do that. It'd probably break them!

I updated it with a scan, it looks more like the original now!
