I LOVE the pose and the idea for this piece! I saw in below comments that you were having a hard time making certain areas "clear".
My suggestion might be to extend the outlines. Right now (such as on the wing) there are dark areas that appear to be the start of an outline, but than, for discernible reason that outline "breaks". I feel as if that is some of the cause for confusion!
Otherwise, it may help to boost the contrast in those areas while dialing down the amount of shades used in order to call out the figure more.

Once I realized what it was, I liked this a lot. I couldn't tell that the top was meant to be it's feet and tail, y'see - offhand, I can't think of a way to make that clearer.

I had a lot of trouble with it, I don't like this neither those awkward wings at all xDDD
But I'm kinda proud of the head and the palette :~~
