Ah, well, what an honour it must have been to sit for Vermeer! Especially since it was done what, three hundred years ago? (I'm not very good with dates). I like him, too...one of my favorites is the one of the girl sleeping at a table (don't know the title). And the one of the girl and the music teacher (I think this is Vermeer).
Now I have to go to your gallery and see if you have a self portrait to compare to the painting the Vermeer did of you!

I love the light and the colours of Vermeer a lot! 300 years ago!!
From the paintings he made in his own house you can see that his house looked much alike Rembrandt's house. Vermeer's house doesn't exist anymore, but the Rembrandt house is a museum now. Wonderful to walk around in his house!
I'm so glad to live here so that I'm able to see so many works of the famous 17th centrury painters!

Lots of mischief there, yeah. Framing shots is a problem with the little camera I use...it's a "cheapie," with no viewfinder, only that tiny screen. Managed to do pretty well with this one I guess.
