Another one from the field course. Actually shot just before my Neural net . What you see is something people usually ignore simply because it's too small or too at your feet, then you stomp it. Too bad since it's the tiny details that make our world beautiful. Always cherish the wonders of nature.Notice how the two focused sporophytes of this Polytrichum species have been united by the drop of water. Isn't that's just too cute~?

Very interesting photo, I must say.
I enjoy the fact that the "water droplet bond" you got going on there has the most focus.
I find that your asymmetrical balance does your photo some justice, but somehow also takes away from it. Since the point of interest isn't quite off to one side, or in the middle, it is almost confused in it's place within the photo. I find that this picture is also lacking when it comes to angles and colour scheme especially.
If it were to be a low angled shot or even an extreme close up of the point of interest itself I believe the photo would have been more successful.
If this piece was cropped more on the left side giving the bonded plant an extreme disposition, I believe the photo would have been more successful (since there is also water in the less focused left corner almost distracting from the one in focus).
Your lighting is sufficient, and I enjoy the pop of the red stems on the plants against the green background, but I overall find it is missing something: Perhaps there is too much negative space to keep my attention. Don't get me wrong, negative space is always good, but it always depends on what context you place your photo in, and in this photo I do not find it that fascinating.
Just always remember your angles, different perspectives, it's the hardest thing to do to look at something from a different perspective, but looking at your other pictures it seems you have this down pat.

Firts of all, thanks for the first critique I've got. You didn't spare your words, either. Lots of excellent input I think will come handy when I photograph more. I'm still learning to macro, so I'm somewhat of a newbie. We'll see what next summer brings along with it. Thanks again for the useful and insightful critique
