When I did this I was pretty pleased, now I see so many mistakes.

Like working in selections instead of freehand. Causing it to look like

body parts were cut and pasted and not natural. So I guess I have learned since.

Thank you very much.

a good way to fix that, the cut and pasted look, is to use the smudge tool on the edges, on a very very low opacity, like 8 %, then you can go over it with the blur at 50% to blend it into the background more

Thanks for the tip. Working in selections has its uses but I relied to much on that.

I have changed my approach a lot since this.

Oh you will change your approach over and over the more you do.  there are so many ways to do one effect, its just a question of what works best for you.  You will find it, but you wont know until you try all the other ways which is best for you.

I have no advice for this one. It's amazing as is.

I really like the texture of his skin, especially with the colors you used.

I agree with Levistrato that you could add a little bit more definition to the face. I think a lot of that would be remedied if you added just a bit of shadow in places. For instance, add a little bit of shadow below his chin, nose, and lips. Another thing you might want to experiment with is blurring the edges in places further away. It can help a lot with giving an illusion of depth .  But those things are just me nit-picking .  His expression is pretty neat too.

Nit pick away :

Yes the shadows are needed, I kind of forgot about this one.

Whole thing started when I made some new brushes, that’s most of the skin texture here.

I know what you mean about the edges and blurring, I usually have a layer with base colors

so I can quickly select an area to work within, it shows here.

Need to break that habit and do more merging and freehand.

really appreciate you taking the time and offering advice.

Thank you

I was just about to comment on this one, but you beat me to it
The textures are amazing! And the whole painting has a certain character to it. Though, im looking at the nose and the lips, they don't have as much gloss on them as the arms and the legs do. That's the only thing that comes to mind. All in all, id have this as a poster or on a t-shirt
It rocks! Keep it up!
