Description Welcome to Bespin, I mean Thanatos! BjΓΆrn made these cool atmosphere stations and I've been itching to use them. Thanatos, the only planet to orbit the companion star Orionis Pi3b, is slightly larger than the more Earthlike sizes of Orion and the Boreas moon, Venice. The atmo stations were put in place in the upper reaches of Thanatos's atmosphere in order to process and convert its primarily carbon dioxide and methane gases into hydrogen and oxygen. Though the world was abandoned (or was it? ) the stations continue to operate indefinitely with no human supervision.

Here's BjΓΆrn's original image that I used as an inspiration:

Ion-X ship and stations were created by

Scene created and rendered in Vue 10.

Thanks as always for looking!

Extrasolar is a fun project created with the King of Swedish Pop, !

I can see the Bespin reference here - but hey who has not

I love that shuttle mind - sleek and elegant!

How the heck did I miss this one? Great job, Ryan! I love the concept, ship and station as well as the upper atmo and lighting. Excellent.

Oddly this one was sitting in a weird gallery, and I just moved it over yesterday, so no worries if you missed it. It was such a hog of a render, but was fun -- I don't usually do well with cloudy things. Thank you so much, bud!

Ah, well that explains why I couldn't find it! I was pretty much in an offline period when you originally posted it so it wasn't something easily found later (apparently BjΓΆrn's either). From the looks of yr avatar, it's good to see you've had the saucer removed. BTW, LOVING the new webcam pic tho the ol' UFC nutpunch was pretty good too!

haha I always wonder if anyone pays attention to those little silly things I put in the webcam. Glad you liked it -- I thought it was brutal and just funny with the nutpunch. I mean, he already had the dude in a headlock, and he drove it home with multiple sack punches. Wow! hahaha

While perhaps it is brutal, there was something cartoon funny about the repeated nut punches. Β Actually as to my own dark side, I hold enough morbid fascination for that brutal sport, that I can actually name that nut puncher! Early UFC; It's Keith (the Giant Killer) Hackney! I'm not sure who the other guy is... perhaps Omar Sorenutzen Johnson.

haha Did you ever see the movie "Idiocracy"? You MUST see it if you've not already. There's a show on their television (in the future) called, "OW! My Balls!" and it's nothing but this guy getting his nuts pounded in various scenarios, over and over and over. It's hilarious!Β

Heck yeah!! Well, I'm a huge Mike Judge fan anyway! I think his "Office Space" is a classic as well. ... and don't even get me started on his "King of the Hill" and "Beavis and Butthead" cartoons!

I think the cameraman taking this picture better get his butt out of the way, or he's going to be squashed like a bug on that Ion-X ship's windshield! Wonderful feeling of motion.

This image reminds me of the Saga of the Seven Suns by Kevin J. Anderson.

Just the way I pictured it would look.

Love the colors, lighting, models, placement, blah, blah, blah...

Outstanding as usual Ryan!

Thank you, Odile! Yes, imagine that -- seems things are made these days to break in order to make more money in repairs or replacements. What a waste! I love the idea of machinery working indefinitely.
