Description Just a trial render of a "new" old character, if that makes any sense. It helps me flesh out the characters of a story if I can look them in the eye. This is kind of an alternate character, not having a big part in the main story, but his back story and what made him tick are important for the current events.

M4 model created and rendered in Poser.
Quickie background done in Photoshop with "space" brushes.

This is part of the Extrasolar universe created with my friend

Wow! Are you really fooling around with Poser in depth now? You're doing a good job with it, I must say. You're doing so good with everything! I am enjoying what I'm seeing. Keep it up.

I typically do just my character dressing and posing in Poser then move into Vue, but I'm trying to branch out and diversify my render tools. I really love the way Poser renders.

Thank you again for your kindness!

Great work with the space brushes! It is a really rich and interesting background. It is nice to see Vintage Jak again Beautiful light and settings. Shaved head works well for him (even though I have to admit that I was secretly hoping for a rich 70 football helmet hairstyle to go with the sideburns ) It is good that Jak go a chance to evolve from just a pretty face in the background to one of the main characters.

Thank you! Well, since this he's a WIP there's still time to give him a bowl-cut or maybe one of those mod styles of the 60s! Yes, it is nice to evolve these secondary characters into main ones. I'm glad he has a part to play in the overall scheme of ES things!

LOL! Yes! That was kinda the look I was shooting for, though not specifically pornstar - just the era.

Wow, you really got the realism going with your Muchacho skin texture in this one. It looks wonderful! I bet it does help to get the creative writing juices going to look at the character and imagine his part in the story. Good idea! Cool glowing nebula in the background and I like all the sparklies and mist. hehe You guys make it seem so easy. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this character as well. You have done a wonderful job with all your new renders. Bravo! More, more, more!

Thanks Suzi! Yeah, I love those Mec4d skin textures. And these scenes definitely get the ideas flowing for stories. Fun! Hopefully this week will be kind to me, but I hope to turn to more writing. But if I get stuck, there's an image just waiting to me made...

Your welcome! They are really nice textures. So realistic looking. I like that! Oooo, more writing! Yea! I'm looking forward to seeing the stories you guys come up with. Just have fun and don't worry about time frames. It lets the creativity flow so freely. I hope your having a good week too. When you start to feel stressed, just imagine all the people you work with walking about in their underwear! haha That should put a smile on your face. hehe Or you might gag too! haha

Doh! I'm so bad about returning messages, and last week was Hell week. LOL - I tried the underwear thingy, but yeah, it made me severely ill! LMAO! It's constantly up and down these days, so hopefully I dust the cobwebs out of my brain and get some stories written finally. It's so hard to concentrate on writing with a load of stress hanging on the shoulders. It's creativity buzz-kill!

Thanks again for the kind words and feedback!

Aww, no worries! I know your having a tough time so I promise not to razz ya too much. Oh nooo! Ewwww, so the underwear thing just grossed you out eh? haha Sorry about that. At least it's a different emotion to focus on though. haha If you can't seem to write, just do renders. Sometimes they make a good pacifier and really get your mind off the stress ball stuff. Don't let those goobers get ya down. Leave it at the doooor! I know, much easier said then done. Happy Hugs to you Big guy!
Keep hanging in there so they don't turn you into another robot!

Nice work on the background and character, the suit has some very nice textures that are spot on with the lighting and such. I'm glad to see you stepping around in Poser more comfortably ;-P

Thanks Vee! Yes, no Vue! I'm trying to branch out and diversify. There's still so much I need to learn about Poser, beyond just character morphs and posing. It really does have a nice render engine.

Yeah, me too, I have yet to use the cloth room and I've tried a few times, I just can't get the hang of it yet.

how do you make the skin for your model

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jrmalone In reply to adrontate [2011-02-21 04:40:46 +0000 UTC]

It's a pre-made skin/texture map from Mec4d.com (Muchacho for M4), so I can't take credit for making it - just applied it to my character.
