Smokers actually make me gag. And I mean it, they make me gag. I have singer lungs and therefor I inhale deeply. So, when i walk past someone smoking, I end up gagging not because I'm being mean or disrespectful, but because every time I inhale tobacco smoke, I gag, hard.

But smoking is also a personal choice. =/
Maybe you should 'butt out' of that person's choice.

The fact that 9 out of 10 smokers arn't respectful of the people around them and couldn't care less, this is a problem. Which, in turn, is why the government and everyday people have gotten involved in this issue. If you smoke around someone and they inhale 2nd hand smoke constantly then there are repurcutions for your actions.
Example: My Dads a smoker. He smokes inside of the house. He's stubborn and no matter what I say he won't go outside to smoke. I have a LOT of breathing problems and have been diagnosed with Asthma as a result of 2nd hand smoke.
Smoke your cancer sticks all you want. Just don't do it near me or other people. Go hide behind a building or something. I don't have the ability to 'butt out' of the situation because some of my health problems are a direct result of careless and stubborn smokers.

We don't give a fuck about you because we can't afford to. Sin taxes made it hard for us to afford compassion.
If I'm going to pay $4.09 a day for a pack of L&M menthols(the cheapest brand in the local store) with which to blacken my lungs, I'm not going to waste my short and phlegm-filled breath being "nice" and "considerate" to people who already look upon me with contempt for choosing to commit slow suicide.
Just count yourselves lucky I'm not following you guys around to blow smoke in your faces. I'm tempted to do that every day as the price of cigarettes goes up. Share the wealth, you know?
