Wow! Absolutely perfect- the depth of field, timing, framing, everything. When I saw the thumbnail I originally thought it could use a little more space for the wings and their tails, but on fullview I think you made the right choice.

This is a seriously beautiful shot of one of my favorite species of terns. Great eye detail on a very tough bird to get it right. Leasts so small compared to the others but they definitely make up for it in personality. It's depressing how each year we have fewer and fewer nests of leasts here. Are they threatened in FL too?

I'm about an hour north of where this was taken and if the beach there is like here then they're doing just fine. Usually I see them early in the morning or late afternoon/early evening. I have yet to see them on shore though. I would have to say that from any point you can see at least a couple of dozen. I'll check with the nature center there and see what they think. They keep a running daily tally of what they see and keep track of nests.
