he's back to protect earthrealm, no matter what we get in 2 days for his official reveal! this is a new design for older liu kang with new handpainted textures, based on his mk9 alt and styled to match his mkx colors. this is a 1-day speedrun build, and i realized at the end that the official liu we're about to get at the MK reveal (1/17) might be revenant liu... so, just in case, i'm releasing this model now, so there's a normal non-cursed liu out there no matter what. hope you like him!

detailed info:
-this is a fresh new outfit for older liu kang, who i much prefer over his younger version (sorry, not sorry). it's built from the mk9 alt, but customized to fit his mkx proportions, including optional arm guards, headband, and shirt. the design and color scheme corresponds to his mkx primary (find the link above) and the textures were repainted completely from scratch in an improvised design!
-his upper body, which is full and complete under the shirt, is handmade and customized from my stock base. it has a brand-new repaint that matches liu's original body, as seen in mkx. it's fully posable with a variety of extra adjustment points, and i did a better job than ever on the rigging on this one! he also has faint scars on his chest and back from his revenant veins, if you look close.
-the pants have a complex dragon motif on them, done in a style that mimics gold embroidery on fancy red cloth. the arm and leg guards have shiny golden scales, as well - i was really going for the dragon theme on this one! the rest of the outfit is made up of fancy red fabric and weathered black material, plus plenty of golden trim
-in the optional items menu, you can take off his headband, arm guards, and shirt, if you want the classic shirtless liu kang look. his body underneath is posable just the same way, and all the items have vanishing shading underneath them
-his eyes, mouth, etc, are standardized in the mkx style, and his spine has lower/middle a/upper controls. his hair is trimmed in the back to get rid of the very long silver ponytail, so it's at his shoulder length now. he still has ponytail 1 and 2 controls at the bottom of his hair, to adjust if necessary
-preview pose included as championliupreview.pose

note: justthehead.mesh included for kombat dress up; make your fashion choices wisely
