Pat Loveless has been a life-long activist and was declared by the City of Takoma Park, Maryland to be their Takoma Park Peace Delegate. Takoma Park is a very progressive township and declared itself a "nuclear-free zone" years ago. Not sure that would help much if a big one was dropped on us, but I love the idea. I met him at a park near a demonstration in DC. One of my nephews has lived in Takoma Park for years. I always loved the funky, hippie feel of the place.Related content
