Because actually I had just boxed the moon stones and forgot 'em there for a while... also nidorino learns more moves than nidoking and there was this one move I wanted Damien to learn before evolving.
And Abra's sometimes really suck ass >x

Unevolved pokemon usually learn moves faster than evolved ones.

Faster yes, but they loose out on stat points that they don't gain back later.

but for example clefairy and jigglypuff don't learn any moves by leveling up after they've evolved.... if I remember dat correctly...!
