I think they and I prefer the left one, because the darker areas around them give the a better atmosphere.
But the Concept is realy good.
The figures form some triangels and they give a painting some of it.
In the background I would use some light shade of green, orange and black, because they are the complementary colours of the blue, the red and the white in there coulor.
It make pictures more impressing.

the 2nd one is all of them in the Animus, the 1st one is young ezio and Desmond outside, hmm...also, a tiny-little detail, Desmond doesn't HAVE the hidden plade in Revelations while being on Animus Island
