I must say my water colours not to bad seems thats all i had for about three years its all I ever painted with to start with .

haha yer well water colours weird because you have to work backwards from light to dark (which you should do with most paint) but if you stuff it up you can't make it light again.
acrylic on the other hand I also like because it drys quick and you can always go over it if it doesn't work.
where as I hate oils they don't dry fast enough and I just blend the colours together to much and they end up gross, but they do come up with the best colours when done right.

Cartoons done with watercolour...that's different. In a good way. She looks natural and reflective, not gaudy at all.

Great job on the painting. I really like the simple, disney-ish (?) style. If you're going to enter a contest, I'd add a bit more contrast (don' be afraid to throw more colours down!) Lovely work!
