Hey, hey Faegan!Ā Wake up.
Oh man, you know, I was talking with my boyfriend the other day about projects, and how some people will have one and then drop them after a number of years because they lose interest.Ā We were also saying how some people are a very slow burn, that they take a long time to completely bring their story to life, but then that it's well worth it in the end.Ā We got on the subject because of how he's been writing his novel for years, having finished it before two times but deciding that instead of publishing it when he felt it could be better, he opted to re-write it.Ā Now he's on the last couple of chapters of his re-write, but with college and work and everything else going on in his life, he doesn't get the chance to write as much, but he's still as passionate about his book as he was over 3 years ago when I first met him here on deviantart.Ā Funny story because it just now got me to think about "Bound", and how long that's been in the works, but even after all this time, you haven't lost interest and you still treat your characters with love and respect.Ā It also makes me think about people who get into certain fandoms and they REALLY get into that fandom only to get out of it about a year or two later, but then you still love Kabuto, and even though I'm highly disappointed with the direction Kishi took Naruto, unlike my boyfriend who HATES the fandom now and has washed his hands clean of the series, I still can pick out the goods and the bads (even when there were a LOT of bads).Ā Whenever I get into a fandom, no matter what, I seem to stick with it far after its 'popularity run'.Ā I'm sure Undertale will be a great example as time passes, and I know SCP Containment Breach will be as well, and even after almost 10 years, I get a flutter in my chest over the nostalgia of InuYasha.Ā All in all, bringing it back to Faegan, but it's always nice seeing you draw him because he's such a cool character and nostalgic for me now.Ā It's actually because of a fanfic my boyfriend wrote for you and Kabuto years ago, that I happened to stumble across while looking for Faegan fanart, that brought me here today over half-way across the country and happier than I've been in years.

People's dedication and willingness to grow is also another thing that inspires me.Ā You and one other person here on deviantart, I honestly count as my biggest inspirations.Ā You were always so happy to draw, but over the years, you've gotten better and better and the change is really drastic with how much you've grown.Ā But most of all, you enjoy what you do.Ā There's another person on here who likes to write, and I saw his stuff from when he was over on fanfiction.net, and it wasn't that good.Ā It really wasn't, but he really grew as an author.Ā He really worked hard, finding out what sounds good and how to better write his scenes, and if you were to read his stuff now, it no longer sounds like a boring script but real three-dimensional characters you can relate to.Ā I mean, he's still working on his writing, but you can really feel the passion he has for what he writes, and that's what makes me respect a person.Ā Passion.Ā But it's really cool to see someone as they grow in their artistic field of choice, and to see someone who is both passionate and dedicated to improve themself, that is really what I strive for.
