Wow, I'm so happy with the way this one turned out... ON PAPER. >>; But as always, you can trust my scanner to screw everything up and make the shading all crappy. Blah. DDD= Lol, but his eyes turned out quite nicely...although still a little big, even for him. xDOh, yes, and it's Shou from Alice nine. Can you tell? I messed up on his jacket - the part on the right is supposed to be even MORE to the right, but I didn't realize that, and started drawing the shirt he had underneath it, and of course, since the parts of the jacket are too close together, the shirt became a little squished, and I had to take some patterns out. ><; The arms were more shaded, but my scanner reuined that a bit. I need to a buy a better one. ><; Or maybe just all scanners are like this.
Wh00t, I think I maybe getting a little better at drawing realistically! xD
Materials used: HB Mechanical pencil, 2B pencil.

ANyhoo, i think this is just lovely. The pose is awsome, it really gives him character, and brings a nice mood to the picture. I think the shading is pretty good too, it gives him some nice depth. And you know, even though the eyes are bigger then what they should be, i think they work quite well with the picture, they give him a more curious feeling..i dunno i think the eyes just work here!
Anyhoo, for the constructive critisism part, i know it helps when someone points out the things you cant see, but here, i dunno if you've done this vbefore or what, but go to photoshop (or some program like that), take your picture, place it there, go to flip picture horizontally, and it will show you your picture from another angle, so you'll see yor flaws quite clearly. Well i dunno, try it out, it helps alot, and it will show you everything you need to see!! ^__^

Although he sees things that needs work, Lei can't find the words because he is too stupid. sigh.
its really well done though. its so cool that you only use mechanical pencil and pencil , now Lei has hope in shading and drawing realistically as good as you.

Lol, it's because his eyes are all O_____________O;;;;;; all the time. xD Seriously, if you look at every single photo of Shou, it'll be that his face is emotionless, his head is tilted down, and he's looking directly in the camera, all O_________________O;, like I'M GOING TO ATTACK YOU IN THE SHOWER. Constructive crit, eh.. okay.. ><; Let's see if I can.. make this sound okay.
Judging by the way you've shaded him.. her.. it.. xD I'm assuming the light is hitting him from the left (of the viewer), at a slightly tilted angle. Analyzing the shading on his left arm (HIS left arm), that arm is placed farther back along his body, perhaps with his hand on his waist, if we are to assume the light source is where I think it is. If that's the case, then what's his right arm doing? Dangling? o_o Because there is almost no shading there, compared to anywhere else, it looks slightly more flat than the other parts of the drawing. You might want to shade that arm a bit more, but of course I understand that scanners ruin the world.
But considering the other arm turned out nicely, perhaps you want to shade both arms the same way?
His eyes are, in proportion to the rest of him, a bit too big, and slightly too close together, but the heavy amount of mascara/whatnot balances it out a bit. Because you used a reference, I'm not going to say anything about how the hair should be more flopped down, due to gravity... how much gell does that guy use? xD
Okay, if you're trying to recreate the picture from the reference, then his head was done a bit too small. Since he's leaning towards the camera, at an angle, the top half of his head should be relatively large, making his chin and nose area tilt down, and smaller. I hope this is helping. -dies- The way you've drawn the head, it's a little too far to the left (of the viewer).
