Koromodakos are extremely large sea-dwelling yo-kai that normally live in separately in different underwater areas. One in particularly lives in the sea near the Forest of Spirits. Koromodakos usually keep to themselves but will occasionally gather together in large groups during mating season. When these monstrous sea monsters sleep they retract into their shell, which is the size of a large bowling ball. However, when threatened, they exit the shell and expand to about one sixth of Godzilla's size, big enough to swallow a small cargo ship whole. Koromodakos are very powerful, they can use their tentacles to wrap around an opponent and spin around in water to create a whirlpool their mouth is at the center of. If you find a find a yellow and aqua green, bowling ball sized shell washed up on the shores of the Forest of Spirits, do not pick it up, it will likely be the local Koromodako taking a nap. It would be wise to let it wake up by itself and put itself back in the water, than disturb it from its slumber and suffer its wrath.
