Once I told my friends how long we've been together, god they were surprised. I'm not one who looks for love though.

If I could, there's something I'd like for you to know. It's so hard to say thank you and I love you for someone like me. For someone like me I mean someone who's been pushed around, broken, brought down, made fun of and left heartless. I never wanted to believe that out there is always someone waiting to hold you in their arms. I always preferred that small corner where I know I won't get hurt or tossed around. Fear and hate were my friends until I met your love. When you say you love me, it always makes my heart glow. When you tell me I'm beautiful, I do my best to look even better for you. When you say you'll love me forever, I believed I would one day hold you and never let go. I doubted the possibilities of ever finding happiness, but what I couldn't doubt was my heart. And I realize now that I'm not alone. I never was. If I had not found your love that day, honestly, I don't know where I'd be, what thoughts would run through my mind or what I'd feel. I began to notice how horrible of a person I was because I didn't know how to interact well with others, but you changed me. But more importantly, I changed for myself and it feels wonderful. Now all I want to do is hold you, care for you and kiss you even if it's only a moment. I can't help but smile ever day knowing that I'm getting closer to you. Just promise me this. Promise me that we'll always have each other and never let go.
