For my intro painting class, we get to choose a topic for our "independent exploration" final project and I predictably chose birds, haha.

Anyway, our first assignment is to just do as many drawings as possible with our theme, so I'm doing a bunch of bird studies until I can key in on what interests me so much about birds. I've been drawing them from the stuffed, taxidermied birds at natural science museums, and using photos when my sketches fail me hah. Here we have a yellow oriole and a blue jay. I will complete it someday...? I have to...for class. Eek.

I have many, many more...will upload my faves little by little, and then I'll probably have to do over 50 paintings by the end of the semester. EEK.

Bad quality photo on my iphone...sorry. my digital camera is out of batteries and I can't find the charger ha. Oops.
