Nice! Ever read of the crossover fan fiction story Universe Falls by Minijenn. I really loved the series...up until the aftermath of Jailbreak in which she started having Dipper be all emo and start making a bunch of choices that feel OOC for Dipper (like refusing to accept Steven healing spit after being possesed by Bill) and have this whole crazy idea about how in the sequel of UF, she's going to have Dipper end up being stranded in the Diamonds Trial room with Yellow Diamon going all Hydra on him by basically turning him into the Winter Soilder with (with him even getting his arm cut off and replaced with a robotic arm) and is called Stonemason in which he is then sent to earth to destroy the crystal gems along with his freinds and familly. And all of that happens just when Dipper is 13. Seriously, the series has just become an angst fest. I have nothing about a series getting darker, but it's all about how its executed and it feels natural.
