I am drawing (and re imagining) the 5th edition dungeons and dragons monster manual.
A Demilich is what remains of a Lich, too elderly or preoccupied, who forgets to feed on souls to sustain its undeath. Its body eventually turns to dust and what remains is its levitating decaying skull, gems for eyes, mindless and insane but still very powerful ...So a flying skull! Eventually I decided to lean into the decaying part for this design in order to give it at least some personality.

Thanks! The old conan comics have some amazing art, they actually were a huge inspiration of my early forays into ink work. Also I can relate, that actually looks terrifying!
