Please full view. It shouldn't be legal for cartoon characters to be as cool as Mugen. We're running projects in work to try to keep each other drawing more, we pretty much pull a theme, a colour, and a style out of the hat every week. Last week's words were "red, fanart, mysterious" ... well I hate the colour red, I rarely ever do fanart, and I'm not really sure that I've managed to ever make a mysterious looking picture before, so I figured It was a challenge enough to try it out! pretty pleased with the results. This is Mugen from the anime series Samurai Champloo. - If anyone Jizzes over this purely because it's anime fanart I'll loose serious respect for you.. anime is no better or harder to draw than any other style (and it's a lot easier than most) ... so yeah... besides... Mugen's mine.... you can't have him o.OI drew most of this on the train to and from work since I have very little free time to draw lately... only very simple cel-style shading for the same reason.. there may well be another version or two of this coming up coloured by other people tho.. if anyone's interested
I delibertly trying some new things here.. didn't want it to look too typically anime either... hope you like it! ^-^

:shudders: Foul memories of Samurai Champloo... gah... so cold. I hate the show, but I like your art. I've seen many traditional things drawn anime style, but this is the only thing I can think of offhand being down the other way. Buck tradition!

It's the SOUNDTRACK! You can't escape it! It's ALWAYS playing all the way through every episode, and it usually has absolutely NOTHING to do with what's going on the show. Like, there'll be a dramatic fight scene about to begin, and the music is all gentle and perky in the background.

I don't know if you've ever seen it, but Disney had a cartoon series about the teen years of Hercules (Based on the movie) and the hard edges and and swirlies remind me so much of it. Fantasic work Soggy.
