Description
This is the second coat of Tru-Oil, but that one first coat of shellac did its job and it's actually taking a long time for the oil to dry, rather than soaking quickly into the pores I sealed. I didn't shellac the front, so the maple's soaking up a little, but it won't drink nearly as much as basswood normally does.
