Marauders sky station.It's a free drawing,so I didn't think much about it...more like a scketch to me.

Interesting concept, too pity that it is so lightly shaded, without harder contrast - that would make the details more visible.

Maybe you should use different kinds of pencils. Softer pencils can give better shadows. I would advise to use B6 and maybe B4(if you can not buy a stock of them). It really worked for me, when I experimented with them. But notice that they can be easily smudged (the softer they are) so maybe it will demand working neatly and you should use special spray when the work is done (like for charcoal).
I know what you mean! I want to bring my drawing skills at least to the level of my imagination, and beyond! It's a long way to go though.
