This commission I have been working on for a friend for a long time. She has been so wonderful with her patience, understanding and encouragement during the whole making process.This is a replica of a coat designed by Darren Hayes (ex-Savage Garden), and he was known for wearing it at their concerts quite often. My friend Leonie is a huge fan of Darren Hayes, and has been wanting this coat for years (no, I haven't been making it for that long! XD). Its the first time I've ever had to replicate something as exact as possible (things are usually changed by either the client and myself for various reasons), and the first time I've ever used that much piping on a tailored garment. Sadly it doesn't photograph very well. And my mannequin is lopsided DX
Yes, its a human garment (I forget I have to explain that here cause of all my doll work XD).
