We all have our demons. Moments in time where the darkness caves in and clenches at your heart so tightly that you can’t breathe. It digs its claws into you and begins to eat away at everything you have left. We all have our moments where the tears flow like rain and air becomes a luxury. In the dark, surrounded by our fears, faces all around us. You can feel it, but you can’t see it. They move in closer on you. And then you find you’re biggest demon yet to face is yourself. All the things you’ve ever failed to do. All the things that you despise. The failures in your heart. You curl up on the floor, rumpled and worn. You’re so tired of battling that you want to just stay there in that complete blackness. You want to give up. The batteries in your flashlight died a long time ago. You keep wondering if a beacon of light will find you and guide you out. Or will you be left there in the dark. Left to surrender. Left to break.Interpret anyway you like.

beautifully done composition, the lighting, the contrasts. but mostly the amount of intensity you were able to convey in a single photograph. almost overwhelming. that, and the wonderful description that accompanied it. all, very moving and done in good tastes as well.

The lighting here is fantastic. The image covers all the tonal ranges perfectly. There is also string emotion here...it pours from the image. Lovely.

You look very secure like that.. once i sat like that at school... my friend emma took a picture of it many years ago. I didn't know she did this until she gave it to me last year. She didn't give me the photo thou.. she drew it.. not very well.. but enought for me to understand what she was getting on about. But then again.. maybe she ment to draw it poorly

I love the photo... it almost made me shake when I read what you wrote tho, I wonder if I should be freaked out that I know exactly what you mean... my fears are more nameless tho. I don't know what makes me choke on a sob when I'm a lone. *whoah way more than I wanted to share, but whatever* It's beautiful, but it strikes me so deeply simply for the reasons I mentioned. The contrast is perfect to me.
