it's so tactile... I want to reach in and wrap her hair around my hands. A serious challenge to capture both the movement of the hair and what is a very difficult angle for the face. Amazing, beautiful work!

You really think so!?! I think it would be amazing if I could master coloured pencils, I've practiced with them before. Nothing usually comes of it though, definitely nothing as intense as your pieces

I think you can do a good job. I've been told the best way to use colored pencils is to keep them really sharp, and create light layers- and just layer and layer the colors until you get what you want. If you google Yvonne Gilbert- she's a really amazing artist who works in colored pencils- you'll see that's what she does.
