wow, this is just amazing! I'm working on a portrait of them in 1906. I finished the drawing and started the shading. I'm hoping it'll end up just as good as this one once it's finished!

This must have taken you quite a while! The amount of detail you put into the gowns and jewels are exquisite. Beautiful. : )

A spectacular job on the clothes! Very nice work on the likenesses as well - this must have taken a great deal of effort!

Getting the right supplies can be such a bother sometimes! This year I hope to strengthen my skills with watercolours, I really would love to work with them!!

It is fascinating, and mysterious about the way they died, there's so many different versions..

I know! People need to get it straight and decide on one version. Of course they weren't burned or hacked into pieces, that's obvious enough.

true. The one that seems to be more common was that they were shot in a train while trying to escape or something like that...

Goodness where did you hear such a tale? lol. You do know they were shot and bayonetted to death in a cellar room of the Ipatiev House right? Here's a drawing I did of it : [link]

Oh wow! o_O . Well I shall simply have to give you my version of their execution (which is just a mixture of various accounts by credible authors and eye witnesses)!!!!! It's goes with a picture I had my brother draw for me that depicts their horrendous execution. Here: [link]
I hate to be coming off as snobbish and rude, but I figure you should know the real events. It is proven (even by the executioner, Yurovsky) that they died like how it is described in the account on the link above. Any book by a Romanov expert will confirm it, including the remains of the Imperial Family themselves.

Really? Well now you know all about it, lol. I'm totally in agreeance with you! A horrible end for a family that just didn't deserve it. So how long have you likeed the Romanovs??

Well it will be 11 years-ish on July 17th, my B-day. It's really strange having my birthday on the same day they were executed. I was hitched as soon as I saw the cartoon movie Anastasia! I myself have quite a lovely collection of books about them.
