Here's my trade with It's finally done!!I had a lot of fun doing this picture. I hadn't drawn any eagle/falcon type creatures since highschool so this really brought me back. For some reason I wanted to paint him blue and red.

P.S. The original looks much better because the contrast in this is washed out, and I don't have PS to fix it....

wow.... this is water color right? wow. such detail! If I could watercolor like that I'd be in heaven! I'm afraid to use color but I'm warming up to it and the many possibilities. LOVE this pic! and I love alector too of course... and his/her art

Well done! I really like the tones and texture you created in this with the mixed media.
Is watercolor hard to do? I can't say I've done much in the medium, but I'm planning to do something with it for my portfolio, for the sake of variety.

Its not hard, just try not to add too much water. Then it can kinda get away from you.

This is beautiful! I think what's so enjoyable is that you've clearly spent as much time on establishing scenery and atmosphere as you have on the character. That gnarled looking tree on the right...
