HI FRIENDS! It's been a while hey
This is actually a piece I made earlier this year but never got around to posting it up. Lately I've been exploring a lot of metallic elements and detailing to add to my watercolour work. There's something that metallics add to watercolour works that is so transfixing. It kind of adds a unique depth to pieces that make you think and look twice, and it's something I've seriously fallen in love with.
Strangely enough, the more I've begun to experiment with these metallic details, the more I'm starting to see a Klimt inspiration, which is awesome!!

For me the thing that makes them work together is the fact that they are opposites. The flow of the water colors compared to the generally hard edged and bold look of metallics. Also those metallic bursts look quite a bit like flowers in her hair. Really nice work you have here.
