Wings; I think I'm atleast improving abit. Was done for a friend, and I guess came out alright. I'm happy with the smudging, and choice of scenery.Many can't tell; but of course my bratty little sister told me that the horse isn't really in water - thats snow.
Ohh well, The little 'splashing' looks like hes truffling through the snow anywhoo. ;]

The image is fantastic, and very convinicing I like the splashing at the hooves and the neutral lighting. I can't make many suggestions on how to improve the picture, but I suppose I can pick apart other minor things. The border I mentioned in the above comment, but in addition unless you really saw that mythical animal then I would suggest putting it under the category "Digital Art - Photomanipulation" Rather than "Photography"
Also your name in the corner stands out a bit with its sharpness. Perhaps putting an outer glow on it would help it fit in with the mystical, blended look of everything else.
Again thoug, I can't think of anything to improve upon with the actual horse or landscape.

It looks like an overlay. Sometimes I want to go for the transparent look as well, but I normally just reduce opacity in those situations. I think that would look a little better, or did you have something else in mind?
