Description Tried something a bit different with the background because the model was shiny and difficult to see otherwise. I like how it turned out, so you might see more done like this.

In other news, if the model says "Difficult with 6" paper, suggest 14" or larger", don't try to do it with 6" foil! My god this was hard! Even ripped it in a couple of places and the head ended up more smooshed together then folded, but it's ok for 3 reasons:
1) You can't see the rips because of the reflectons.
2) The head turned out awesome anyway.
3) The end result makes it totally worth it!

I've always like copper dragons in DnD and felt they were the forgotten second cousin of dragons to most GMs. Everyone focuses on the red or gold or green or silver, but where are the copper? I love those guys. So this is my tribute if you will to my favourite dragon.

It really does look awesome, and stands by itself with no help!!!

Model from Jun Maekawa's "Genuine Origami".

I tend to try to make my models smaller than recommended too. It worked really well here, he's really cute! Good job.

I really try not too, usually opting to make them bigger the first time. Though I did a unicorn, llama and a lot of cranes using paper the size of a post-it,so I mean...ya. And they always do work out cuter looking, don't they? This particular model is only one of four I keep on ym work desk (because it's so tiny). The other three are a llama (Alphonse, in case you read my other descriptions), a tiny unicorn (Which you can see in Unicorns 4), and a Pjorita (the lime green one). I don't know why I'm putting all this here...eh. Also, whatever modular I'm working on. Which is in this case a redux of Modular 11, but using post-it's to be more colourful.

I'm miserable at modular work. I tend to try to get my models as small as possible. For some reason I'm in love with 2in squares and smaller. Tends to make for easy transportation, but it's a nightmare to fold half the time. And then they get lost pretty easily. In theory I'm supposed to be making them as holiday gifts, but I never seem to get around to it or putting them away.

I'm gonna go dig around in your gallery now.

Cool! Enjoy!

Ah, see I tend to like the 3in (or roughly. plus/minus a fraction of an inch) square. I find it big enough to hold the detail of some intermediate models, and the result of the simpler ones it has tons of plane space. I dunno. just what I've noticed. It's also the same size as word-a--day calendars and post-it notes, which makes my supplies really cheap too.

I used to play with post-its a lot. Then I discovered the teeny tiny post-its for school and that's no longer an option. Little strips don't fold into anything interesting.

Whoa...I'm not criticizing, and I wasn't fishing for more comments/faves. I just noticed the two right next to each other in my inbox and thought I'd share the funny image is all. (Still making me laugh by the way...)

Thank you! Being the artist, I know where all the imperfections all, so it's all too easy for me to forget to sit back and look at it from an objective stand point, and you're right. From that point, it is most definitely awesome!
