Yes, my second Duct Tape costume! This time I even went hardcore enough to make the hair with duct tape!

Worn to ConBravo 2010.

So for everyone who's been waiting for a pic of it, here it is. I got this pic from Facebook, so I don't know who the photo cred goes to. I'm sorry, but this is the only pic of the full duct tape suit, since my camera batteries died at the beginning of the weekend.

-Yes, everything you see is duct tape, from the hair down to the shoes (which aren't in this pic... this one: [link] they're in)
Even the face tattoo/make up streak is duct tape (doesn't smudge like make up!)
I got most of my duct tape at the dollar store, black, white, blue, silver, and red are usually readily available for 1$ a roll! Pretty sweet.

Wig - Duct tape, foam, cheap ball cap (has awesome vent-y things at the side so that my head can breathe!)

Head Band - Velcros at the back

Vest - Lots of red duct tape, I almost ran out. The dollar store red was really cheap looking, so I had to use my good stuff on the outside

Shirt - Has spandex-y material on the side to help it breathe (One thing anyone doing a duct tape outfit must always keep in mind is that you're probably not going to be able to breathe very well, so take every chance you get to add something breathable)

Belt - One large strip of brown duct tape, the belt buckle has cardboard in it to sturdy it. The belt has pouches in it that I used to carry my Dungeon Dice (I made 12, 2 of each colour, three are seen here)

Arm bands - The only thing that really required fancy Duck brand duct tape. They yellow bands were the hardest thing to make. While sewing 1-4 layers of duct tape on a sewing machine is doable, sewing 6 with a layer of fiberfill in the middle definitely is NOT. The brown bands are nice, I need to re-sew the Velcro on though.

Pants - I made a pair of pants with cheap broadcloth (the free kind supplied by grandmas ) Then covered them with duct tape. They took approx. 28m of Duct tape to cover (4 rolls x7m). I ended up not wearing them most of the day for fear that sweat would soak through the broadcloth and cause the duct tape to stop sticking.

Shoes - Soles made from Dollar store hard plastic mud mat, and the rubbery kind of mud mat made the treads, they've got foam for insoles (the same kind as in the wig) They're actually super comfy, aside from the fact that the treads sometimes fall off. I put elastic on the tops to help get them on and off.
