Personality: Cautious/Shy/Gentle/Kind/Possesive/Lazy
Cautious: He is really wary of most people and other dogs, and keep them at a distance emotionally. If one is persistant though, he can warm up.
Shy: Along with being wary, he's just generally timid and get embarassed a lot and fumbles around with words.
Gentle: He treats most things like they're breakable treasures, and doesn't get wound up easily.
Kind: Despite his reservations, Nico will treat most people as sweetly as can be. He's a big smiler.
Possesive: Once he gets close to someone, he tries really hard not to let them go. He'll stick by someone until they get tired of him, is a big blanket hog, and don't touch his stuffed hedgehog IT IS HIS.
Lazy: Nico doesn't like to put much effort into anything, even a game of fetch gets tiring after the third throw.
History: Nico had a happy first year of his life, he lived in a nice home with a nice young man named Chris who he became fiercely attatched to. He promised himself to always be loyal to Chris, for he was kind (or so he thought). Over time it became obvious to most people that Nico's owner wasn't nearly as attatched to his dog as Nico was to him, and Chris wanted to settle down with his girlfriend. When it came down to the usual "it's me or the dog" situation Nico quickly got the boot. He stayed with Chris' grandmother until she herself couldn't take care of him, and he was soon dropped off at the pet center where he resides now.
Extra information:
-He loves all things plush and will steal and claim, blankets, soft toys, towels, articles of clothing (slippers included), and even the whole bed.
-Sleep is his best friend, he takes LOTS OF NAPS
-He is a snuggler and if he gets close to someone he'll get in their laps or lay on on the bed or couch.
-Nico HATES being brushed or having his nails trimmed it makes him violent. If he senses a grooming he will flee and hide somewhere.
-He also doesn't enjoy his belly being rubbed, but his sides are a whole other story. They are his weak points (So are the spots behind his ears).
-Do not yell at him he will probably cry and lay at your feet until you promise him everything is okay.
