Sketch Crap : Man vs Machine

Anyone notice I haven't really posted any line art so far this year?
Well it seems I just can't help myself.
I was going to take a break from posting any line art this year in order to build up work for a possible ashcan sketchbook... now I think I have enough for two.

I had also become a little tired of a few other things:
people stealing my artwork,
constantly seeing my Joker colored with the movie make-up
and really just thinking I needed a change of pace.

Well, that lasted for about 3 months..
Now I think I'm just going to share the little side projects, doodles , warm-ups and cool-downs I make before and after larger projects.
Basically the same thing I did when I started my "sketchy" thing before that became filled with commissions and whatever other sketches I came up with.

This sketch was inspired by Ruben Martinez .
I met Ruben at the San Diego Comic Con a few years back when the first volume of his book The Afterlife came out.
We chatted it up about the amazing work he put into the book and he ended up doing something very unexpected, he took out a folder and whipped out a piece of paper that had a very small yet incredibly detailed sketch on it that also appeared in the book and gave it to me as a gift, I in turn gave him a little watercolor sketch of Rorschach I had made.
To this day that sketch has inspired me art wise and when it comes to being as nice as I can to the people who seem to like my work.
