Hey this guy stole your picture [link] .He had a DA account under the name jpfeasy.

WTF! I don't know if he re-drew it or what but it's terrible and what the hell kind of name is uncle Adam? The guys name is Mike and he's a home less guy in Wisconsin for crying out loud. I'll send the little bastard an email....thanks for alerting me. Oh and BTW he's been banned from DA...seems he's been stealing more than my art!

Yeah he probably downloaded it and just posted it as his on their site,I recognized it because I faved that drawing....and you are welcome! It's a shame people do that,no conscious I guess?

killaby In reply to jeffro70 [2009-12-13 14:17:50 +0000 UTC]

can you send me that site link of his again? I tried to post a comment and it wouldn't let me when I tried to create an account. I don't what he did to my drawing but his is is either photoshopped to make it look different or he actually tried to draw it and it turned out horrible.I'm sure he was stealing others artwork or he wouldn't have been banned.

jeffro70 In reply to killaby [2009-12-13 14:55:33 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I meant to add that he probably photoshopped the pieces,I don't think that really justifies you to claim as your own work???.....[link] if you recognize any other pieces please pass along!

killaby In reply to jeffro70 [2009-12-14 15:41:07 +0000 UTC]

I emailed him and he responded with a rude statement that he was going to have his lawyer sue me!!! HA! I laughed at that one because I'm a paralegal and I told him to "bring it on" and that I would give him my contact information and anything he needed to get in contact with his so called "lawyer" and then I reported everyone of his works...you should see how many pieces the guy has stolen and all the comments he got about his work being taken from DA....amazing ignorance for sure. I think he's a done deal now!! haven't heard a peep out of him!

jeffro70 In reply to killaby [2009-12-15 00:08:16 +0000 UTC]

He'll probably just assume a different identity and continue doing what he does!...I checked him out too and I like the comment he made about being a renowned sports artist!!!If your renowned why steal???...I think he was trying to make some money off other people, like you said amazing ignorance!

Incredibly beautiful.

You can tell its a drawing - but this is extremely good, and must have taken you quite some time and effort.

I love the way you've captured his expression in those piercing eyes.

Was it from a photo or from life?

A most fascinating and compelling work of art. This should be exhibited right alonmg side the works of theOld Masters. The detail in the face is amazing, and it could be used by Habitat for America to provide homes for the homeless. It could make a very strong impression on people.

thank you very much for that kind comment. Yes, I have had several non-profit organizations use this drawing for their advertising. Too many to count.

in most of your drawings in you gallery you have smooth facial features since they are mostly young kids or babies, but I got to say as good as those are, this one is definitely my favorite. The emotion in this man's eyes is seen in this image and each wrinkle is defined with such details, its beautiful. How long did it take you to do this? Was this from a photograph?

killaby In reply to littlePaintCreative [2008-06-13 14:27:37 +0000 UTC]

thank you for your kind words and yes this is from a photograph and took about 40-50 hours I think. I get about 2 inches from the paper to draw and I put lots of movies on my computer to keep me seated.

WOW! that is really remarkable. I got to say those long hours sure pay off. I'm an art student at the moment and now im in summer, I will be doing my portfolio again and looking at your work is truly inspirational. I hope to get better at portraits, a long way to go. Thank you for sharing them with us.
