NU POGODI, MOTHERFUCKER!

Well here it is, the "Vukodlak", the Serbian Werewolf in Moscow (ugh, this is why I stick to Vukodlak as the title).

The biggest challenge for me when designing my werewolf was coming up with something original that hasn't been seen before with other werewolves. I didn't want to make something that resembled another werewolf too much, I wanted something people can see and IMMEDIATELY recognize as my own without confusing it with somebody else's werewolf.

I stopped looking at other werewolves and I just looked around to find anything that appealed to me, and I did.
The first thing was picking the color: I read Wolverine's six-issue comic book series Origin and in it Logan dicks around with a pack of wolves and in this wolf pack the pack leader was this wolf with dark fur and orange/red eyes... That mix immediately struck me.
Before it I kinda had the idea of my werewolf being dark grey with white eyes (becoming white after staring at the full Moon) but it looked like a Deadite werewolf, or kinda like Batman, either way white eyes didn't work, so it's black fur and furious red eyes.

But I still wanted more and finally the last thing I was inspired by were the creatures from the 2011 film Attack the Block, where the alien monsters are these quadrupedal ape/bear furry things with luminescent jaws and a pitch black fur, like so black that light doesn't reflect on their bodies.
This werewolf moves around on all fours, its forelegs are more powerful than the hind legs, and its still has usable hands with opposable thumbs, and the claws are retractible. In addition, its stance is a bit more upright, making its movements somewhat ape-like (it folds its hands into fists similar to gorillas when moving on all fours), rather than entirely canine and it is able to get up and stand on two feet.

Now despite all these open mouth/aggressive faces in this piece, my werewolf is actually rather quiet, it behaves more like a real wolf.
It kinda annoys me when werewolves or otherwise movie monsters CONSTANTLY fucking growl as loudly as possible like idiots, even in The Grey I was annoyed by the wolves constantly making so much noise.
When it hunts its preys, my werewolf stalks them silently, the claws are actually retractible so he's able to move around making as much noise as naked feet would, unlike dogs that make ticking noises with their paws when they move.
Like actual wolves, this guy growls and roars when it's fighting someone or to scare off the opponents. And he will, don't worry.

I will get to draw it, but let me tell you that this guy doesn't fuck around when it comes to fighting. Thing is, NOTHING can fucking stop this werewolf, nothing aside from silver can kill him or even contain him, even if you buried him alive he wouldn't die and he'd claw his way out and break through any seal. The only other movie that highlights the indestructibility of werewolves was The Monster Squad where the Wolf Man was blown up with dynamite but then pieces himself together.
The entire third act of the story is Terminator Werewolf vs. Moscow police and similar to Shin Godzilla I wanna do research and possibly interview some officers to ask them how they would realistically deal with a large animal that wrecks havoc in a big city, how they'd handle the situation and what they would do if the attempts of killing it kept failing, what the progression and strategies would be.

I know this pitch black monster may look weird to imagine in real life, but I would like to say that the whole setting of this story is stylized and has a noir atmosphere and color scheme with a lot of darkness/white contrasts (Moscow is all snowy while this is happening), so it's all done to make this pitch black shadow werewolf work and look good in its surroundings.
